This extremely flexible Payroll System completely manages
the payroll functions of the organization. As with other
modules in the PERSMAN, it is completely parameter driven,
and has been designed from inception to be as open and
flexible as possible.
The system is designed to be flexible enough to accommodate
specific users’ requirements. These include appraisal
reports, specialized pay slips etc.
The system is able to interface seamlessly with existing
banking and financial accounting applications.
Because of its parameter driven nature, there are no
restrictions on the number of emoluments, contributions
etc, that can be defined. The application allows for
performing trial runs with several options so that several
scenarios can be examined before making the final run.
Staff loans can be managed by this system with flexible
repayment plans that are defined by the organization.
Exceptions, which may apply to individual employees
or groups of employees can easily be defined and applied
to the payroll.
Flexible Emoluments Definition
The payroll module allows for an infinite (constrained
only by the database size) emolument definitions. In
addition to this, it also allows for derivatives of
the designated basic emolument either as a percentage
or a combination of percentage and a fixed amount. Emoluments
can be paid based on user defined frequencies.
Flexible Statutory Deductions/Contributions
Definitions
Statutory and non-statutory deductions can be set up
in the payroll system. The frequency of occurrence of
such definitions can also be specified and not necessarily
tied to every payroll run.
Loans Administration and Control
One of the most powerful features of the payroll system
is the loan module. The loan module allows monitoring
of loans granted employees, and it can be setup either
as a simple interest or compound interest earning loan.
Payment schedules are generated prior to approval and
a complete picture of the loan run is at the disposal
of the user. The loan module also allows for outright
write off of existing loans or direct or manual repayments.
Apart from this, it also allows increment or decrement
of the principal value for valid loans. Interest and
Principal repayments can be based on user defined frequencies
so that a repayment plan unique to your needs of specific
members of staff can be defined.
Flexible Tax Definition and Control
The payroll module allows for multiple tax definitions
with accompanying band rates. This essentially allows
the user to tie any taxable emolument to the desired
tax definition. The tax module also allows for tax exceptions
to be set up for an employee or a group of employees.
Payroll History Reporting
The system generates useful reports after each payroll
run. These reports vary in scope and design and can
actually be customized to suit the user’s taste.
The default reports that come with the system includes,
but not limited to, the following: Payroll register,
tax deductions, loan deductions, payment schedule, contributions
and deductions. Historical reporting can be initiated
at any point in time.
