The Nigerian Stock Exchange
Progenics Corp Limited is currently the consultant to the Nigerian Stock Exchange on the Automated Trading System (A.T.S.) project. We are also developers of the back office trading system that provides all the reporting requirements of the stock exchange after interfacing with the A.T.S. for the provision of data. Our system consolidates trades made in all the remote branches of the Stock Exchange and produces the reports that are seen everyday in the pages of the national dailies. We have successfully overseen the development of the I.T. infrastructure of the stock exchange from the days when trading was done using the open outcry method to the current day where trading is done in front of computer screens in one of 5 linked trading floors across the country. Progenics has also successfully deployed the infrastructure for remote trading to the stockbrokers thereby allowing, for the first time in Nigeria, trading on the floor of the exchange directly from stockbroker’s offices. <br /> |
