The Akwa Ibom State Government
The GovAc Government Accounting Project implemented for the Akwa-Ibom state government was implemented in several phases. Progenics being responsible for the supply of Hardware, Local and Wide area networks within and between several dispersed state government offices and the eventual deployment of the GovAc Government Accounting system designed and developed by Progenics. This system tightly integrates the ministry of finance; the accountant general’s office and the offices of the Governor and Deputy Governor as well as several others to provide on-line real-time information on the status of the accounts of the state to those who require it. A web based M.I.S. system has been provided for the use of the executive officers and other senior staff of the state. Training for both technical staff and end users has been undertaken and completed. <br /> |
